Heritage Oaks
Golf Course
Overview
18 Hole/9 Hole/Practice Green/Par 3 Course/Golf Range
Heritage Oaks Golf Course, owned by the City of Harrisonburg, opened its doors for operation on September 29, 2001. Initially the golf course had a “soft opening”, operating for ten consecutive weekends and closing for the winter of 2001-2002. On March 29, 2002, Heritage Oaks resumed its operation full-time. Heritage Oaks, designed by William Love, offers golfers of all ages and abilities a challenging yet fair test of golf. The Par 70 layout offers a great variety of holes, including links-style holes along with several tree-lined holes. Additional features at Heritage Oaks include a full-size practice green to “fine-tune” one’s short game, and a full driving range. In addition to these amenities, Heritage Oaks Golf Course is the home of the First Tee of Harrisonburg, a program that utilizes golf to help develop the character of thousands of youth in our community. Visit the beautifully manicured Heritage Oaks and its beautiful park setting today.
